Installation Proposal

Proposal to Dlectricity, 2014

In consideration of why people attend public events (such as Dlectricity) one cannot overlook the essential ‘To See and Be Seen’ rationale. This, in conjunction with the inherent technological component of Dlectricity, gives rise to a serendipitous intersection of ideas to be explored: Those of observation, surveillance, and the role of art as a communicative instrument. We may draw in viewers to explore the blurry line that occurs when observation takes place within a community context-- and can become surveillance-- which may cross the line into public secrecy.
